Who We Are

Austin Boston Terrier Rescue is made up completely of hard-working volunteers who share their common love and passion for this wonderful breed. We cover all of Central and South Texas, including Austin, Dallas, Houston, San Antonio and all points in between and beyond. We rescue Boston Terriers, provide all needed veterinary care, and then foster the dogs until permanent, loving homes can be found for them. All of our dogs are current on all vaccinations, spayed/neutered and heartworm negative and on preventative. Additionally, we take care of any other medical problems that are known to us.

Adopting a Friend

All of our adoptions are done by application. The complete application process consists of reference checks as well as a homevisit. Please contact Alissa for a copy of the application. There is a required adoption donation for each of our fosters. This donation covers a portion of the dogs' veterinary expenses, and allows us to continue rescuing and caring for Boston Terriers in need.

How to Help

We are always in need of dedicated, compassionate people to help us in our rescue efforts. We need assistance with fostering, transportation, processing applications and fundraising.

We also have a wish list that includes towels, blankets and other crate bedding, collars and leashes, nylabones, Heartgard Plus monthly chewables (the blue box), and flea and tick preventative (topical, like Frontline). Cash donations are also always needed and appreciated!

Other Boston Interests

We have several long term, or permanent fosters in our care. They have either health or emotional issues that have caused us to determine that they are not suitable candidates for adoption. However, this doesn't mean that they don't deserve to live a good life and have all of their needs cared for. We are starting a sponsorship program so that interested people can donate to these wonderful dogs' care. Sponsoring one of these long term fosters simply means pledging to send a set donation each month. No amount is too small. All funds donated go directly to the medical needs of these foster dogs. If you are interested in learning more about our sponsorship program, please contact Cindy at
abttri@swebell.com.

How to Contact Us

We do not have a central facility for our foster Bostons. All of our rescue dogs are fostered in the homes of our volunteers. For more information about our rescue program, you may contact one of the people listed below. While we try to be very prompt in our responses, it may occasionally take a couple of days to return emails and phone calls. We thank you for your patience.
